I had started with a lil Mayonnaise creechur and so I thought I'd expand on it. I based the designs on the shape of sauce bottles or containers. Basically, their origins date back to 600,000 years ago, on a terrestial planet with an advanced biological species called the Mamorece.
Despite their resemblance to the flavors of Earth dressings, they don't actually contain the same ingredients. They share flavor and consistency (but able to somewhat negate consistency with their physical bodies), but their mass (aka, "spread") has a dormant acidic property that can be activated to render it lethal to touch, let alone ingest.

That Mamorece invented an artificial creature that was able to regenerate and replenish itself, as well as being unable to rot as long as it is fueled, called the "Protogarum" who'dbe the prototype of the modern Kondymian. Said creature functions using a "packet" inside their body mass, the body consisting of a paste/goo and taking the shape of their form. The packet contains their "recipe", including ingredients, skills, body, and behavior. Essentially a really advanced biotechnical version of an an SD card.

Protogarums weren't very bright, considering they were early ai that blended biology in their makeup. But they also produced a rather foul smelling (albiet healthy) substance... though the brand that produced their design never made improvements on them.

An Alien pharmacist decided to change the formula to make an appealing flavor though inadvertently improving the intelligence of it. They eventually began developing each other, this self improving causing them to reach a level of intelligence surpassing their inventors... although spread between different aspects. That was when their transition to a real race began as they began to self replicate.

They are semi-biological, and unlike regular creatures, they only need 2 substances to survive: Sugar and Water. Using the energy of sugar to power themselves (to produce more mass to convert to ingredients they need to persist) and the fluidity of water to help keep their bodies moldable and form intact. They don't age

In the current age, they live mainly on their homeworld, the supermassive satellite Kondyme, which orbits as a moon around a dying salt ocean planet world in the same solar system as the world of the Mamorece. Though spacefaring for isn't alien to them
