I couldn't get through Chapterhouse. The writing style in that was hard for me to enjoy.
I noticed the writing started getting more bizarre after Leto II became a worm dude.

and very good reference of the orange catholic bible he is reading as well there the main rule thou shalt not create a machine with the likeness of a human mind, this is indeed very deep m8 beautiful and something that hits home with me as well, also the sleeper must awaken is Leto's greatest line and quote too that has extreme deep meaning,

Wow -- I first read Dune back in 1974, the summer between my Junior and Senior years in high school. This brings back ancient memories...

I read Dune a couple years after I saw the Lynch film. At the time I didn't even know it was a book at first. I kept wondering where the Weirding modules were in the book. Turns out David Lynch made them up. Oddly enough, the idea of the Weirding modules does sound like something Frank Herbert would have come up with.
