you can argue that what he did is even worse because of a simple fact: it would allow him to turn twitter into another right wing social media company...

I've never understood why artists want to use twiter. It seems to be a bad format for posting art. It has no gallery feature. I cant go to twiter and look at an artists body of work without scrolling forever and getting dribbles of their art mixed in with all the other crap on their feed. But that's just me. I dont twiter at all and only go there when forced to.
TLDR, no twiter? nothing of value was lost.

I completely agree! As a consumer, this is not convenient for me. But as an artist, it's really easy enough to build an audience and get a lot of feedback. How I wish they added a gallery feature there. This is why I don't retweet anything and try not to write conversational posts
