Zee wanted to show off for the big supervillain conference, so she tricked the leader of the superheroes to try and catch us - we trapped her and turned her into a vending machine!
The brilliant thing about showing her off in front of all the other villains, is that they all know that Zee could do this to them too, if they cross her.
As for the hero... I think she might have known it was a trap, and maybe just wanted to spy on the villain conference to gather intel. Even if it meant she had to dispense the occasional Pepsi.
