Yet again another last-minute entry for the recent
Thursday_Prompt... since the prompt this time was 'paste', I decided to go with multiple meanings of 'paste', both the virtual version of 'cut and paste' named after things like newspaper rearranging, and a more physical version of 'cut and paste' by using a surgical adhesive.
Getting that into a 365-word challenge was a fun trip.
Anyhow, back to Huntress and Deedee for this one, in part because Cyberpunk comes with so much of its own background concepts anyway. The 'medtech' mentioned here was actually run by a friend of mine in the same Cyberpunk campaign where I ran Huntress for a while, and the same one that introduced the racer Cruikshank who I used in my second entry to the Thursday Prompt. Lots of bits of inspiration wandering around my head and fighting with each other...

I thought about writing how strange new rules had to be followed after being mysteriously moved into an unfamiliar environment, bending and breaking appearances to conform...and then zoom out to reveal someone had just tried to paste a large swath of cells from Excel into a Word document (which does the best it can).
This turned out better, though. :>

Sounds like a bit of a 'Jar of Tang' situation, which might a little difficult to fit into 365 words, yes... (If you're not familiar with the 'Jar of Tang' reference, check out the Turkey City Lexicon.)
