January’s crossover image features the yellow brick road and Emerald City from The Wizard of Oz. Now I confess I’ve never read the books but have been meaning to, and I’m not the biggest fan of the most famous classic movie adaptation. I was more into “Return to Oz” and “Oz the Great and Powerful” and “Tin Man”. I love the aesthetic of the world itself and it’s one of the original “Isekai” style stories out there. From what I know, it’s a simple but bizarre story and it’s the bizarreness that draws me in, and every adaptation I see brings something new to the table.

As a side note we all know Suzie will HAVE to nab at least a few samples of those poppies.
