In my scourge to draw more piston aircraft (and get some more practice in with glossier finishes) I thought what better else to do than to draw another Grumman naval fighter. The F7F-3N is just another example of a radial aircraft that can absolutely capture the imagination with its design- two huge and booming Pratt & Whitney R-2800s cradling a super thin and sleek fuselage! To try and fill in my negative space better, I chose to practice making a stylized background; had I just left the aircraft as is, it would be tricky to discern details due to the lack of color contrast. I would like to try and do more backgrounds like these in the future, here's to the next one!
