This week's External Influence is the Reversed Quagga Spirit Guide. An extinct subspecies of the South African plains Zebra, the Quagga normally represents lost opportunity or a need to refind something that was given up or taken away. However, when we see the Quagga as a Reversed Guide, it means that this week will provide ample opportunities for you to shine with the skills and special interests that make you who you are. Push forward in active motion. Get out there and make waves. Show who you are and take pleasure in what makes you truly happy. Give yourself time to dive into reading, running, music, whatever brings light to your soul. The Reversed Quagga means that now is the chance to let go of what no longer serves you in favor for what does. Don't fight to hold on to something that isn't healthy for you. Be ok with letting things go to become healthier and move on to greener pastures.

This weeks Rune is Naudhiz. This rune depicts two sticks rubbing against one another in order to create the need fire. The need fire burns in the darkest of times while the darkness it flickers in represents the future which remains hidden to us. It translates literally to 'need'. Representing those things in life we cannot life without. When used correctly, the need-fire can promote creativity and positive transformation, however, when used unwisely it can be a driving force of destruction. Naudhiz represents the forces of friction and fire that instigates growth. It represents distress coupled with guidance to deal with it and move beyond the problem. When Naudhiz appears, it aids in clairvoyance, protection, and overcoming psychological obstacles such as bad habits. This week, the challenges in our environment may make us choose. Consider your options and look towards the light. There is a bright, burning power within that could destroy you if left to negative habits and toxic energies. However, this bright fire also aids in our greatest achievements, protection, and creations. This week is burning with opportunity, but often change and growth only comes from moments of challenge or distress. Do not let this overcome you, but remember the beauty of your abilities and engage in them to aid not only yourself, but those around you. Naudhiz comes to those who need deliverance from distress by reminding us of the love and passion in the world. Choose your path wisely and walk with light, love, and empathy so that you may give a guiding light and fire to yourself and others rather than a destructive fire burning away the positive.

In the Internal Influence, we see Alligator. Don't rush. Let this week be about gathering information and organizing your thoughts as well as your environment. If making a decision, take the extra time to gather as much research as possibly from multiple perspectives before making your decision. This week's challenges may make you feel like nothing but the negative exists, but remember that where there is death there is life. Where there is darkness, there is light. Alligator represents the principles of land and water, life and death. Without one, there is no other. Others may think you are doing nothing, but in silence there is contemplation. In slowness, there is deliberation. Allow yourself to be strong as you work on protecting yourself and your territory. It may help to spend time cleaning and refreshing your home environment in order to aid in dealing with the outer environment of the world. Meditation will be beneficial to you in order to clean your inner mind, as well. Digest the information that has come to you, gather and absorb more research, and consider your options before making a decision. Alligator is a symbol of new knowledge and beginnings. Allow whatever challenges appear this week to promote growth rather than destruction. The Alligator represents death as well as life and mimics Naudhiz in a reminder that one can either live a life of destruction or use their inner knowledge and ability to grow in a positive light for themselves as well as those around them. Do not be dragged down by your past experiences. Gather knowledge from all around and do not let yourself be too afraid to heed the knowledge you may even be hiding from yourself. Transformation and growth is all around us if only we listen and work.
