Joe Strike and drawn up with the idea of selling printed T-shirts to furry fans of The X Files at the first ConFurence East that year. The design was commercially screened in white on black and afterward several were hand-airbrushed with an unearthly hue of green as shown.

The shirts sold horribly, and a major sticking point was the big-headed caricatures of the show's stars. The odd proportions struck many people as all wrong. Smaller heads wouldn't have "read" as well; larger bodies might have worked better but wouldn't have fit through the doorway.
