Meira ''Water Slide!'' [Art by Lay]
Meira the seal is back! This time I drew her going down a rusty water slide at an abandoned outdoor water park! And her being a seal, enjoying water-based environments is kind of her whole thing! 💦
-- This piece of art was inspired by something pretty interesting this time around -- The inspiration behind the theme of a water slide, or a water park in general, is my recent period of visiting a subtropical swimming pool near the end of a sports-based summercamp, and even though 1) I have visited it last year already; and 2) the area isn't that big compared to most other swimming pools; it still felt entirely new somehow! It might be because it has been precisely a year since we last went sport-camping, and thus it was a year ago that we visited the pool.

In any case, Meira seems to be very happy !
If I may ask, why is the park abandoned ? Wouldn't it be better for her to be in a real park ?
Personally, I've only been to water parks two or three times in my life, but I understand how you feel about it.
I can tell without hesitation that it's fantastic and so fun ;)

The reason it was abandoned isn't really explained (I couldn't come up with a reason). But maybe something went wrong in regards to the electricity necessary to power up the water currents in the slides and other attractions? Or maybe there was something way darker going on -- What if in the past, someone drowned and the park had to close? Or someone recieved a fatal shock from the electricity while in the process of repairing one of the automatically-charged attractions, like the water slide Meira is currently enjoying?
Asking why the water park Meira is visiting has been abandoned, brings up some... pretty dark questions.

Indeed, that brings up some interrogations...
Maybe there's a simple reason to why that park is abandoned : financial problems ;)
But I like your idea of someone dying during a maintenance or a reparation ! And the same goes for the potential drowned person, it can happens at any time ! It's very dark but also realist when you think about it.

It's somewhere in Breukelen, the Netherlands. -- https://www.visitgooivecht.nl/en/lo.....d-t-kikkerfort
