The primary acquiring factor of resources for the entire Thordonian Empire, the stellar converters.
Classified as thordon class of consciousnesses, 2.6 billion kilometers long, composed almost entirely of sheer xenonite. It can take apart and collect mass from anything smaller than one astronomical unit (au) in diameter.
There are larger stellar scale forgeries that can deal with stuff up to 10 au in diameter, but converters are much more plentiful.
Stellar converters are technically spacecraft as they are mobile and can move to different stars, they are also equipped with interrelatavisitc drives. They can also act as incredibly huge warships, using the tactic of destroying entire star systems.
These constructs act as the primary conveyance of thordonian expansion. When one reaches a new star, it will use the resources provided to make more constructs to populate the rest of the system.
Due to their tremendous size, it can take up to several billion stars just to make one, exactly 905,013,775.8 solar masses to be precise. Of course, the schwarzchild radius is mitigated using anti-gravity generators. Otherwise the converter will collapse on itself to form an event horizon 17.87 astronomical units across. Kudos to the sangheili for their tech contribution.
If the generators fail from damage the converter will be destroyed in a spectacular collapse. (Of course, such a strike requires a ludicrous amount of firepower to pierce the thousands of kilometers of armor plating and deep into the structure itself) The sheer glory of the spectacle brings great honor to the fallen thordonian along with morale to the fleet to continue their campaign to avenge the loss of such a great asset.
This stellar converter has reduced this former subgiant star's mass to the red dwarf main sequence, lengthening its life to trillions of years for use.
Inspiration for the stellar converter's design from the book, Megastructures: The Visual Encyclopedia, by Neil Blevins.
