Don't worry, this poor, ufortunate sock child is saved form the sock snake eventually. And all he wanted was a normal picnic with his family, gorging on sweaty socks brought for the outdoor feast. Unfrotunately, the wild predators don't care for how young their potential meals are and will gladly take what they can find, and the young just so happen to be the right prey to tackle when simple socks aren't enough to sate one's hunger. Fortunately for the snake, it was never cut open, having regurgitated the kid after getting agitated by his rescuers, which means it can find a sock mouse or sock bird to swallow instead of someone like the child.

Also, not all sock creatures have pinkish insides; they can be literally any color, even any pattern in there.
