This was an interesting commission to work on. Its strange to get a commission request for something that's not cute, sexy, smutty, or actiony. No. Just a nice moody, though rather mentally dark piece. I had fun with it at least. But then again I like challenges like having to draw a wheelchair without ever having tackled one before.
If you'd like to order a commission in a similar black and white inked style like this, let me know. Prices would start at around $40 give or take the character and complexity or simplicity of character and background. Just drop me a note and let me know!

Yeah... I should really follow this up by adding something creepy, funny, sexy, or silly to my gallery. While its awesome that a piece of my art can influence an emotion in people, enough folks out there may already have enough shadows 'round the brain without my art adding extra.
Excellent work -- and, as others have noted, a wee bit of a buzz-harsher... What I wanted to note is that there's a sense of R. Crumb in this particular work -- perhaps the heavy lines and dark nature of the work (and subject matter) gives me that feeling.
I have a friend on this edge... a fellow that I can't help any further, and (so it seems) neither can anyone else. Not nice to say, but it's true: This. Does. Happen. You've captured an incredibly painful moment with incredible clarity and empathy. Well done. Very well done indeed.
...and yes, let's all go put on our gay apparel, drink something pink, watch a film of no greater intellectuality than Hot Shots, and eat cake with fluffy white icing and rainbow colors. Quick, before someone starts reading something by Sylvia Plath...!!!!!

Emotionally evocative piece. I won't repeat what others have said similar about it beyond that in this striking piece, its one that sticks with you.
On a crit note if you do not mind, You did well on the chair for the most part except the big wheel. It looks like its in "side profile" where the rest of the wheelchair its attached to is on a 45 degree angle perspective wise. With that tho, the rest of the chair is perfect.
Thanks for sharing this piece. 8=)

This I'm afraid a true picture of the UK ever since a conservative government won in 2010 they reformed the welfare by cutting back on peoples need, foodbank usage shot up from 25,000 in 2008/9 to 1.9 million in 2019/20 to 2.5 million in the year 2020/21.
Over 130,000 deaths have been attributed to the Welfare reforms in the UK courtesy of the DWP (Department of Work and Pensions) and with landlords wanting more and more money for property, people end up homeless, made worse with local authorities buying train tickets for homeless people and pretty much moving them somewhere else outside their area and into other areas.
I completely understand this artwork and would cuddle up to this bear.
