Lazuli has always been a very creative kinda Pokemon! Even as a Skitty, he was always going out of his way to learn and try new things, much to the dismay of his mostly overprotective parents! Both of his parents being pretty strict with a strong idea of what their child should do was pushed on the Skitty... But of course, the jobs that his parents had were uninteresting for him! As he grew older and older, this disconnect between his curiosity and wanderlust for more exciting things led him to leaving his family still relatively young.

He wasn't alone for too long though, finding a mentor in the form of a Mismagius to help bring out more of his creative potential! And although he wasn't born with any latent psychic or magical powers, it quickly became apparent that he was a prodigy when it came to making potions! Learning and deciphering exactly what all kinds of ingredients had an effect on his concoctions, he mastered this trade in just a few years with a good mentor and teacher! Although, sometimes his own extravagant nature seemed too much for his teacher as well! The now-evolved Delcatty created somewhat of an infamous identity for himself, brewing wild potions with all kinds of crazy effects! Of course, what was the point of creating something if he couldn't test them too? Friends of his would be used as makeshift test subjects- No effects that would hurt them or anything, but there were more than a few crazy charms and effects that would blow out of proportion as a result. One such potion even permanently altering Lazuli's own typing, adding the likeness of Fairies to himself!

Although enjoying his time with his mentor, the time eventually came that they had nothing else to teach him, and he was off on his own once again! He'd find himself at the small traveling town of Wellspring, finding it the perfect place to set up shop for his own business! Lazuli's Potions and General Goods was opened in the small town, where the cat was happy to do what he wanted! Building up more friendships and relationships, he'd take a small Zigzagoon named Colm under him to help run the shop, as well as becoming friends with many at the town's local guild, becoming their staple merchandiser! Most notably becoming close to Levin and his team, supplying them with any needs they need for jobs as well as pulling them to test new recipes for himself as well~!
