Since I moved at the start of 2022, I've not had the space for a wooden railway layout, or any layout for that matter. So my Thomas Wooden Railway Collection was stored in a small shed behind our apartment and only taken out a couple times since. I've also not collected any new models in a VERY long time. I got Edward when TWR2 made him, but that was it until this week, when I decided I'd take the plunge and start collecting this new range.

With the exception of James, whom I got at Barnes and Noble, I bought everyone shown here off amazon. While the QC is hit and miss with these items, they are a MASSIVE step up from Thomas WOOD. The details, and differing shapes of the engines are back, and now they scale better than before. And the track system not only brought back the standard male-to-female connecting system, but they also revived the classic "Clickety-Clack" design of track the TWR was known for, now called "Clackety Track". I'm especially happy for this since I never got to experience Clickety-Clack Track, but now I'm able to have a chance to experience what it may have been like to those that did.

All in all, this is a stellar new range of Thomas toys and so long as Mattel keeps making these to the same standards of quality right now, I will gladly give them my money for them.
