Dume Mahlangu "White Devil" by Iamghostdivision
I've been considering doing a few superhero/villain characters for a while which started when I got this character a few years ago...
Dume used to be a missionary with a humanitarian aid group sent to aid a tribal village deal with the aftermath of a large scale chemical spill caused by an illegal chemical plant owned by a corporation of unknown origin that seemingly has a lot of military power. One night some of the aid group decided to break into the plant to find out what exactly was happening there and Dume went after them to try and stop them but before he even found them a fire broke out and he got splashed by an unknown substance as a chemical vat burst open because of the fire so Dume was forced to get out of there.
While it seemed that whatever he got splashed with wasn't immediately harmful he did not mention it to anyone and aside from a mild rash which vanished after the first two days he seemed fine so there was no reason to worry anyone. But a few days later he developed a high fever and ended up in a coma for nearly a month and when he finally awoke he seemed perfectly fine, yet he and his wife were sent back home for some proper health checks which only proved he was indeed perfectly fine. It wasn't untill later that he found out that the substance had changed him when he discovered that gettign in contact with certain chemicals triggered a transformation and he would change into a kaiju-like beast. After some trial and error he figured out which chemicals coould trigger the transformation and eventually he learned to control it to the point he did not need any chemical to ttransform.
So Dume decided to use this power and try to make a difference and become a vigilante, taking on the name White Devil in his kaiju form. Turns out this new form was incredibly resillient to damage and has greatly increased strength. And as he found out if he consumes any kind of pollution or solid matter he could increase his size and become even more powerful. He still has no idea what the limits of this are as he can't just test this without drawing too much attention, then again local law enforcement is already trying to hunt him down despite him turning in criminals and helping to resque people.
