Candy comes from the galar region and is part of a breeding farm family. She is naive and energetic... and has no idea how most modern technology even works. Hence her family decided for her to visit a school to have more options then staying with the family business... its not that she doesn't want. But her parents think she might find happiness in another more fitting job.

Candy stands out from the rest of her family by having a rosa/pink shade to her wool and it grows much slower then it should. Thats why she keeps it short and does not contribute to the other family branch, cloth production.
