The Weasel class scout, first commissioned in 2199 AD was Neu Samara's first successor ship to the tail-standing Krolic (rabbit), or 'WitchCrusher' class scoutship. Though it didn't have the same jump range, in nearly all other respects - speed, sensors, communications, pricetag, active stealth, grav plating and inertial compensators, it was far superior.

Weasels belonging to the Navy were named different musteline names and characteristics (Weasel, Ferret, Slin, Tuberat, Martin, Fisher, Ermine, Sable, Stoat, Polecat, and Ferret Badger) while the four Weasels belonging to the Orbital Kommandos were a bit more vague (Ketch, Nightshine, Duskcreep, Ardstalker).

The specific example here is UMZ-S02007 FISHER, seventh of the class built, rounding one of the many less hospitable planets within Directorate Space.
