So when I first decided to design a mer-form that wasn't my shark one, I couldn't quite get a good feel for what it should look like. When I'd try to picture it, it'd just be an odd shadow below the waters of my mind, unable to get a good clear pic of it to draw out. Till one night, I was lying in bed half-asleep when some bad thoughts started to fester a bit. I usually have a mental exercise of picturing a blizzard or something removing those thoughts, but that night, it was different. Instead of snow, Water began to surge and whirl, turning into a tidespout, that this emerged from. I immediately woke myself up and sketched the basic form, cause I knew this was the shape under the water I'd been chasing for weeks. Some extra focus the following days helped shape it fully to form. Design elements from Namielle, one of my favorite elder dragons, as well as stuff from my other mer-form blended well to make this abyssal beauty~
