I arrived as fast as I could, and of course the American would hire an American auto like that.

I pulled up behind him, not far from the aeroport of Geneva. The road was part of the border. We shook hands. He told me he was surprised the car was not on fire, I told him I would have been faster but there were a few red lights I could not run. We laughed, but did not have time to share a smoke.

"When she gets here we'll have to move quick," the Colonel told me. "I'll take the Syxen directly to the Gendarmerie, you take her beacon on a joy ride until I text you three times in a row. That will mean she's offloaded her pass code to the right people to switch off that satellite?"

"Mon ami, you take the girl? I am mortified."

"The way you drive they'll never be able to focus that beam on you."

"And my taste in autos has better handling, agreed then."

He smirked, "She should be coming through those trees any seco- TAKE COVER!"

For an old guy he got behind the wheels of his car very fast. It motivated me to do the same and felt the fur on my tail like it would catch fire.
