"From Space Pirates to... Druids? Admittedly, I probably should have Thomza to be the one to write this data log. From metallic homes that produce toxic chemicals, to living in holes in the ground. They always seem to be surrounded by nature and are really impressive miners. Leather/Monster gear, the loss of their guns, and more or less using enchantments and becoming much more of a craft-culture. The days of the Armada are over... and the Melting Flower rises and spreads its petals..." ~Captain PiK
Hee-Ho, howdy everyone! Look at that! Another data-log! More on the titular space bunnies! If you wish to read the one before this to have a bit more context? You can find that right here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/51706049/
This is more or less Part Two to the story of what's going on here and from a world-building perspective. Anyways, with that out of the way, Captain PiK does a pretty good job giving a brief explanation of who and what the Melting Flower is, however much should be elaborated on:
The Melting Flower is made out of the now defunct Mimin Armada who turned to the pillars for redemption after Captain PiK had won the war against them and abandoned the refugees on the planet. Thomza, Tia and Aellea decided to take them under their wing and help fund out expeditions as they wished to find a new purpose. With many wishing to remove their raider-like culture for something else. However, not everyone was on board as they retreated out into the wilderness to continue to be pirates and creating multiple gangs. However, the ones who did stay found their original home world and found ancient texts detailing they are one of the first to acknowledge Thomza and Aellea as well as the creation of their universe. Finding many different values that were seemingly forgotten and old homes that once detailed a beautiful landscape, now torn apart and forgotten.
They would then find themselves settling down on Planet Materia and building massive dug-out homes and finding rest among the large deciduous forests of the planet as well as having entire districts in Bayshore that they share with the goblins and fruit kobolds. That their new form of craft would not be pirate-tech, but instead built from the ground up and enchanted through mystical means of spiritualism and nature. That they would soon become more pacifistic in nature and not build just guns, but various forms of brand-new lighting for homes, crafting stations, furniture, and would communicate with the snakemen to have their goods shipped all across Planet Materia. That they would soon expand out of just Bayshore and their craft-culture settlements can now be found in small pockets around the world as they all communicate with one another under one flag. It is not uncommon to find Dragons, Fruit Kobolds and even Scalebolds all living in the same den alongside with them and bearing the same notions they have. Wishing for a more peaceful lifestyle instead of the more fanatical and war-driven communities of The Warrior of the Pillars and Captain PiK's own armada.
It is to be noted that they still have soldiers though to give to the Warrior of the Pillars and some Mimins still participate in battle to "hold the peace and love the pillars have provided." As their unique unit is the "Trusty Pioneer" who are excellent craftsmen on the battlefield. They work mostly on delivering supplies to the frontline, repairs, and can still duke it out in a fight as they're equipped with weapons of the past, but with brand new sets of armor...
I think that's a good explanation so far, if you read this? Thank you very much- I hope you all have an absolutely wonderful day!
Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me, TwistedHensley. The Skin to Scales universe also belongs to me there, TwistedHensley... You get the drill. I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. There is no copyright infringement also intended to other forms of media as Skin to Scales is meant to be its own thing and something I've been working on for a very long time. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system.
