The first mortal, Lijina made from the All Mother and Great Father schemed, for he was not happy with not being at the top. He schemed and plotted, waiting for Great Father to start creation, and as he was making a new race of mortal beings Lijina stole a piece of the burning chaos and forged it into a blade. He knew he could not kill Great Father as he was made from him but Great Father was made from the Burning Chaos. As Great Father finished the race, he could not give them immortal lifespans as he did not have enough Burning Chaos with him, So instead Great Father bestowed upon them his favour. He gave them fur to protect them from cold mountain snows and knowledge of the spear, teaching the men of the new race how to cast magic with Spear Songs and he taught the women how to honour the All Mother through battle and sacred writes of childbirth. He dubbed these mortals The Hyenas. And as Great Father went back to working at creation, Lijina stabbed him twice. First in the back and then slicing his throat. The blood that spewed from his made the ground shake and rumble, forming the Cerulean Roof, a mountain range so tall it became a shield for the Hyenas, and from the wound in his back, the blood formed the ocean and all life in it. Within his death, the Great Father was cast and scattered into the Burning Chaos itself.

When All Mother heard of this betrayal she wept in grieving and rage.
With her sadness and anger she took the Burning Chaos and birthed a new child. Standing on four feet, hind legs of daggers, with the two faces of Lijina fused and malformed, with mouths on every joint, crying in voices of the damned and a tail of a scorpion that teared up in venom so vile it stripped the form of everything it touched
"This is my grave art, my decree and promise to you," She called out to Lijina "The Korbalyq will hunt you, and everybody like you for eternity. It will drag you into the Burning Chaos, and you too will be erased from existence with rage and anguish so deep that you will suffer deeply, this my decree that all betrayal shall be punished by being cast into the Burning Chaos."
