THE ULYSSES-The greatest Submarine since Captain Nemo's Nautilus, the Ulysses will transport us to the doorstep of Atlantis. Secretly built for Whitmore in Norfolk, Virginia, the Titanic, 333-foot-long craft was clandestinely leanched from the belly of a cover ship. Weighing in at 18,750 tons, she sports iron cladding riveted onto a sleek interior skin. Two large propellere astern and three colossal aft ruddern make her not only the fastest vessel under the waves but also the most maneuverable.
PORTSIDE AMIDSHIP GUN TURRET - Equipped with four automatic subaqueous rifles, this turret, like ite starboard twin, can rotate a full 360 degrees.
THE GLASS SPHERE-The sphere at ulysse's bow contains decks on three levels, including the bridge, where navigational Instruments are housed in custom-fitted cabinetry of mahogany and brass. A dozen torpedo launchers line her unbreachable hull, while three gun turrets provide additional defensive capability. A more worthy vessel of exploration is impossible to imagine.
