Had a BIG play sesh with Wingu last night, and at the end of which had this idea while talking about Certain Plot Things in the back half of the game
(I haven't finished yet, though, so shhh with your spoilers :V)
In this version I limited myself to just the pair of three-color palettes used for the sprites in the original game (White Mage, Thief, Black Mage, and Fighter, respectively), but in my main gallery I also put an alt where I used the NES' possible palette to try to reinterpret the party in the context of FF1 player character sprites!
