Honestly I wouldn't have been able to do it on my own, but with the 3 of us the costs sure do go down a bunch! The price of rent for an apartment the size we need (two of us need a home office) is not that far from the price of monthly payment on a house, and we'd all rather pay more for the eventual repairs than have to deal with someone who decides what we're allowed to do!
