In the previous artwork I mentioned that Lemony Pup's design changed since then, and it's a minor thing, but also kind of significant! I couldn't figure out how to do the tattoos in this universe on a dog, and they were previously on their ankles, where they're "supposed" to be. But I saw someone's post of a photo of their laboratory-rescue beagle, who had a number tattooed on the inside of their ear. Perfect! Now Lemony* doesn't need stupid ankle coverings to hide it, which would look suspicious anyway, plus a tattoo actually SHOWS on skin anyway (vs fur). Very glad for this inspiration (and also glad the rescue beagle has a better home now!)

I had abandoned it for a quite awhile, I deleted it In 2020, like a fool (I regret tbh) well it was filled with bad memories, some horrible experience memory there
Then someone registered with that username in 2021 and made it into a "wasted-username" account, I'm not sure why though.

Oh. Another place a dog gets tattooed is on the belly and the inner thigh. Before microchipping was a thing, people used to get their dogs tattooed for identification should they become lost and don't have their collar or tags on. Also, dogs can be tattooed to indicate that they have been fixed.

And thank you for the info, too! What I like about the ear for this one is that he can (and does!) flop the ear over to hide it, although I have considered that if I made a dog with pointy ears in this universe, there's no being discreet about that! I think they'd all have to be in the same place to get the "lore" to match up (it'll never be perfect with my doggos! haha), but it is good to know there are options, even just in general! ❤
