In the far north of our continent there lies a cold desert of ice and snow, where what little life there is becomes twisted and maimed due to the intense magic flowing from the most northern and most southern points of the planet. Within this region lies the Great Dragons, using the thick presence of magic to float and move as if they are swimming. Their frills come in many colours due to the increased chance of mutation from the magic, from brilliant, long cloaks of rainbow to deep wine. In the Capybara republics, it is a symbol of extreme wealth to have the frills which retain their flowing grace even when seperated from the body and preserved, and many kings wear them to ward off magics as magic itself slides off it like water.
