It's me standing in Front of a GAZ 24 Wolga, built 1972. We found it at an UrbEx tour a few weeks ago.
The Cap I wear is not exactly a russian one. It is a cap of the NVA-Troops of former eastern Germany (DDR), which also was kinda communist republic.

Kein Problem , Ja das fuhr damals auch auf unseren Strassen als Taxis und auch der Runde Vorgänger , waren mein absoluter Traumwagen, nur was etwas Störte ist der Spritverbrauch. Und für 2500,-€ würde ick mir das auch zulegen, den diese Maschinen sind Robust und unverwüstlich.
Well, if you ask me, i say it was cooler, when it was Plymouth Valliant. Our "mighty engineers" sawed 4.6 VeeEight a half, made new crap-shaft and valve distribution. Volga may look cool, it could drive like a bloody cruiser, but only good version was 2424, KGB special. (there was original engine, copied as is.)
Btw, you can buy one today, it's plenty of them in R.F. still.
