Here's another commission from Scotiacon - Jake as drawn by Billie (FeatheryFlukes on Twitter). They did a great job with Lord Varl last year so I gave them a planedragon to draw this time around.

Planedragons aren't exactly the most scientifically-accurate species on the block, e.g. canonically they eat clouds. That said they're very open, and I'm still trying to figure out exactly how much of the original lore applies to Jake.
I'm also leaving it open how much of him is organic for that matter - if he's 100% meat-free then insulation is less of an issue.

Perhaps, but... Certain mechanical parts can seize up from ice crystals forming up from small super-chilled water droplets found in higher elevations. Which can freeze on contact, thus causing certain mechanical failures in the process. So, having some form of protection from that would be highly advised.
