Ingredients
- Steak any cut of your choice
- 1 half small yellow onion
-1 tbsp butter
-Black pepper
-Garlic Powder
-Hot sauce
-1 tbsp soy sauce
-1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
-2 cups minute rice
-2 cups water
-1 tbsp of flour
Directions: Bring two cups of water to boil in sauce pan add rice and set aside until done
Heat skillet on medium high heat. Take a fork and poke holes into the top of the steak and then drizzle hot sauce from end to end in a line. Smear the hot sauce over the surface of the steak. Season with black pepper and garlic powder. Once the skillet is hot melt the butter and let bubble and caramelize.
Add steak and cook on both sides for about 3-4 minutes. Set steak aside on plate.
Take the half of onion and slice it. Add slices to the pan and stir. Once the onions begin to caramelize add soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce. While this cooks take flour and add enough hot water to break up all solids. Add immediately to pan. Stir constantly, adding more water as needed to produce as much gravy as you want when reduced over heat. Season with more pepper and garlic powder.
Take steak and add back to the pan to cook for another minute. Rice should be done at this point so add as much as you like to your plate. Place steak over rice and then pour onions and gravy over both and enjoy.
