The fashion is an invention of the society, but the universe doesn't care about the fashion. When we conform to what the society decides is "in", we may not notice our shame, but it's there. We are afraid of being "out" and that's an unhealed wound of our inner child, because as children, we are dependent on our society. But when we have transcended our shameful inner child, we do not care about being "out" and we become spiritually free. When we are small, our parents tell us things like: "Make yourself look nice! The relatives come to visit us! What should they think when you run around like this?" That is where shame about our bodies gets planted in our subconscious. We carry that shame in us until we grow old and maybe pass it on to others because it's how we have learned it. The contemporary culture defines how we judge each other and it has always changed in history, which shows that these are all subjective concepts. But when we transcend our collective cultural conditioning, we also transcend shame. All the heaviness of human culture and its artificial concepts melts away from our soul. This is a part of our spiritual ascension and return to simplicity and enlightenment.
