This is a us copy of sonic 1 working on a Japanese mega drive and I got it to work by removing the cartridge lock in the mega drive it will work with U.S. games and some pal games that will work without a mod chip and it is easy to remove the cartridge lock the only thing you need is a fillips head screwdriver.

Doing this also means you can use a U.S. power base converter or 32x on a japanease Mega Drive and even play some pal games that arnt region locked
