Kila: Katie, am I a person?
Katie: What do you mean?
Kila: I see pictures of people almost every day. I see them on the screen and you show them to me. And I see you. But none of them look like me. They never look like me.
Katie is nervous. She needs to be careful how she answers.
Katie: You know, people come in all shapes and sizes, Kila. Me and all the folks on these screens - we're all different from each other, and yes, we look different from you. But that's not a bad thing, and deep down, we're all more alike than we sometimes like to admit.
Katie: Nobody gets to choose the body they're born with, but you do get to choose what to do with it. I admit I've never met anyone else quite like you... you are special, girl, in ways we don't fully understand yet. But I hope you understand that no matter what happens, if nothing else - you'll always be my Kila.
