Only the hardiest of beings can live in the colder reaches of Norrath's surface, be they mountainous steppes or snowy tundras. One common animal in such locations are the mighty mammoths. Docile creatures that travel as a herd and pose as an imposing force for anything or anyone foolish enough to attack the herd. For the Darkfell, however, mammoths are revered as both powerful beasts and treasured as a food source, for the bones, fur, and meat alike serve a great purpose. Generally speaking a mammoth will only be hunted during a time of celebration, or preserved remains from a previous feast that were leftover will be dug up to be cooked.

Filk Tuskfur is one of many hunters and rangers skilled and trained specifically to take down such big game. Though not quite 'well rounded' to be called a Huntmaster like Raja, he nevertheless has a high station among the clan and frequently heads such groups of his kin when hunting the mammoths of Icefall Glacier. Calm and collected, Filk exhibits impressive patience, for rash moves and attacks result in a gruesome trampling in the face of an enraged mammoth bull. Armed with what seem to be two simple spears, Filk is a bit more than meets the original eye at a first glance! In truth, Filk's spears are crafted from Velium, a powerful and lightweight ore found only from Velious. It's said that Fergelm returned with three chunks of ore, and gifted them to Filk- two for his spears, the other for his gauntlets. Armed with such potent weapons, Filk Tuskfur's attacks can lacerate and grievously wound even the hardiest of mammoths after a while, earning him and the Tuskfur family name a good reputation among the clan after every successful hunt.
