The dramatic lighting provided by the sinister shine of blood moon and villainous pose that just reeks of malevolence and viciousness make this scene filled with sense of dread and menace
And the dragon itself looks glorious - gloriously wild consumed by powers of evil and rage while spreading fear around him and enjoying his newly found powers and strength

The lighting is one of my favorite part of this piece, it really was something I've been trying to achieve recently that I feel I finally grasp. I am so pleased you like what I have managed to accomplish with this here.

All deliciously hand drawn. For me I ensure the well-being of my hands by taking frequent breaks and lots of stretches. I also wear compression gloves and also use baoding ball dexterity exercises.
I know drawing such tedious things can be detrimental so I work on taking care of my hands first :3
