Honestly, was in the middle of some other regular units, and something possessed me to throw together a master of the forge character for no real reason. Perhaps I was looking at the Arks of Omens formations, and just really wanted something to be able to run all of my dreadnoughts with or whatever. It is not like FTs are known for their techmarines or tech proficiency, they will just beat you with it till it breaks, then continue on to beat you with the broken remaining half.
