"Avast, gaze upon the Citadel of Love! A home for Love-Bots and the ones they took under their wings. A superstructure of connected skyscrapers with a powerful shield to keep foes outwards. A place of religion, culture, indulgence, industry and even creation..." ~Thomza Materia
--Hee, Ho, Howdy everyone! Hensley here and I'm back with another good piece of lore for ya. This is technically a location, and it does differ from the City of Love which can be found here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50483848/ (as that's a part of Bayshore and other small pockets owned by Captain PiK)
This is also an expansion and REMAKE of the City of Love and Desires on my Deviantart page.
So! The Citadel of Love (or even Citadels) are superstructures that are created by Love-Bots who are remnants of the "Cyber-Arc" of Skin to Scales. These Love-Bots do not follow Doctor Love and will only take orders from the pillars themselves. These structures can also be found all over Planet Materia and act as safe havens. Only problem is, once people enter, they do not ever really come out. That and or they are changed and transformed into Love-Bots themselves. For those who do not know what a Love-Bot is, they are sentient slime or even ooze-like machines who inhabit shells. They are religious and work off of "prophets" to tell them what to do and where to go next. These prophets usually mimicking their chosen gods in some way. (Such as a Cyber Tiamat, A fat cartoon dragon that looks like it came out of a fairy tale book, and even one that looks distinctly humanoid.) Although distinctly and strictly speaking, this place is meant to be pretty alien as most Love-Bots even get around from place to place by tubes and where their biology works best. (Such as squishing themselves or getting sucked out of their shells to do other busy work inside of the structure.)
Although the small hook does say it best of what this city is and what it's meant for. It is a staple, a monument to the love-bots where they live and will even take outside visitors. However, this was also mostly used for a background too as I'll be updating, and even talking about various Love-Bot shells and the unit types that come from them! So do look forward to me drawing a bunch of different robot-designs. For now? Just enjoy a silhouette of Thomza with one of the Scholar classes from the Scalebolds. Which if you're interested in that? You can find that on my page here: Warriors of the Pillars: Noteworthy Scholar (Also the Kobold holding the various books is a female in this image.)
Until then everyone! Have a good day!
Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me, TwistedHensley. The Skin to Scales universe also belongs to me there, TwistedHensley... You get the drill. I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system. There are also many satirical tones as well...
