You could be forgiven for thinking that Hegga is an unusually large Hobhoglin but she is in fact a Chimerae bred on one of the Chimerae breeding farms that often are of dubious legality. Hegga was created to serve as a wildernis scout able to survive in the most rugged conditions and live off of the land. She was however released before she was sent off to her intended owners and was made a student of a court mage of the local baron from whome she learned a lot more about herbology and even learned to make a few simple basic potions and salves. When she became of age she decided it was time for her to move on for new horizons, eventually ending up in the small quiet town, Harver's Fall, at the foot of the Black Peaks mountains. There she moved in with the local alchemist as an apprentice, although she is far more skilled in herbology so she made an arrangement to supply the alchemist with fresh local herbs and ingredients.
As such she often spends weeks alone in the woods, exploring and gathering ingredients while also scouting the area for any bandit camps that might pose a danger to Harver's Fall, so she is given special permission by the local garrison to take care of any bandits if she can handle them or send a report back so the guards can be mobilized to the location. Ironic perhaps that she ended up doing exactly what she was bred for, except that instead of for some lord she instead does it to protect her new home and friends that she has come to care about. She has come to know the land almost like the back of her hand as her explorations have taken her to pretty much all corners of it, so she has set her sights higher up the mountain with it's many winding paths and dead ends where she would eventually stumble upon a hidden tower where another skittish Chimerae and her late master live...

Yeah...I have problems..
But seriously, it's more because the ones I get in most cases are good stand in for characters I already had in mind, so saves me some time from having to shop around for a commission first. I do still get commissions when I need more specific characters or a scene. I still have quite a backlog I need to post going several years back, but that's in part due to chnaging my mind and rewriting backgrounds or I haven't assembled the full cast yet and I've been holding off posting what I have because of said rewrites. I got more planned for this world (which I originally created waaaay back as a videogame/RPG idea) but also some cyberpunk setting that I'm working on and trying to at least make interesting on their own with my lack of story writing ability.
In short I just like creating characters and it's a problem.
You could also say I'm an Altoholic to put it in RPG terms...
