The River based hyena tribes have a variety of distinct cultural practices that make them different from the rest of the Hyena tribes. Being on the river their diet revolves around fresh water fish and their economy is heavily influenced by river trade. Cultural and religious beliefs revolve more around ritualistic body paint and venerating their gods through ceremonial, improve dances and theatre.

They are open with their practices and happily let foreigners join in, often being curious about the life within the borders of the foreigners. Their body paints will often show stylized scenes of legends or short poems or phrases done with a calligrapher flair.
