A popular story among the equines in Pahydron's Charm is one that centers around the birth of their god, Khyros.
One day, Calion (the creator), shed a tear, and it fell to the earth in the form of a meteor. It crashed in a field nearby where a group of equine were living, and from it's dust grew beautiful white flowers. A mare named Migu came upon the flowers one day and braided them into her hair, and ate one, surprised to find it tasted like salt and blood. She became pregnant from the flower, sired by Calions' tear, and gave birth to a stallion named Khyros. Khyros was as dark as the night sky, with stars in his mane and tail, and hooves made of strong iron.
Many had tried to break the surface of the meteor to see what was inside of it, and could not, and Khyros went to the meteor and cracked it open with his iron hooves. From the strong metal of the meteor he carved tools for his people to use that could break stone and carve metal from the earth. The equines used these tools to mine the metal from the meteor and they made tools, weapons, and armor. Because of Khyros' gift to the equines, they became a powerful people, capable of breaking down mountains and hills with ease, and making weapons sharper than ever before. When Khyros ascended to the heavens to join the other gods, he left behind his mortal body and became entirely made of iron and stars.
Out of his hooves, the horses made two iron Seekers. They hum whenever they are near metal veins, and the equines have used these great gifts for thousands of years to find iron and silver veins in the earth.
Migu, having become Godwoken and given birth to a God, is regarded as a Goddess of Knowledge, Curiosity, and Mother of Gifts.
