Finally, finally... This project overrun its time. But this was a long planned wish of mine to show you, and it is my reference for further commissions I will order in the future, too.
I officially changed my style into digitigrade. Why? Because it is a more reasonable style for furries, and a very dynamic one. I was just not able to draw anthro-legs correctly, but with the help of a drawing book and a set
djdarkfox is going to send me, hopefully I will be able to satisfy my own personal standards.
Colours were done by the highly professional, talented

b/w artwork and character is all mine.

Jaquard duSang. A short biography.
- Born March 12th (?) 1684 in Les Campets, near Peyriac-de-Mer, Languedoc in France.
- His grandfather was a mere Spanish soldier and married into a French family of craftsmen after the War of Devolution 1668; Jaquard inherited the coal-black hair, the temper and the good looks from his ancestor.
- His father was a veteran of the French army, after his dispensation he settled down and became a gun/blacksmith (I had this idea before POTC, but this is not important anyway). More important, he was a Calvinist.
- Because of the regional traditions, the whole family speaks Catalan, Languedocien and French as their mother tongues, besides that Jaquard learned fluent English later on.
- Deficient education by the local clerk and his father in reading, writing, craftsmanship and fencing.
- During the persecution of the Huguenots in 1689, Michel de Grammont (my old main character), in his function of a Musketeers’ commander, burned down the whole village and killed nearly all the population. He was told that they had stolen from the near Count – to see it was just bread ruined both his life and psychics. Before he realized that, he smashed Jaquard’s father’s head in and let his mother raped by his Dragoons. During the confuse escape of several children out of their hides, de Grammont hunted the young fox for fun and managed to strike him once with his saber – a drawbar blocked most of the impact, but the cut went until the bone and left a bad healed, broad scar all over the left cheek. Jaquard escaped in the cold winter.
- Next years are not so well documented. Moving around in an area bordered by Carcassone and Marseilles, he lived of stealing and begging, and is said to have killed his first man (accidentally, though) with twelve years. He survived because he became faster and stronger than the rest – yet friendly or loving feelings hardly ever met him.
- Aged fourteen, he went to sea as a cabin boy, course New World. The ship was boarded by Michel the Grammont, who became a privateer to escape or at least to forget about his profane hell. He recognized the boy immediately, and kept him aboard his ship. Jaquard does not know him anymore, and so Michel and his men taught him basic fighting, navigation and seamanship.
- Aged eighteen, Jaquard was handed over to Dwight Blackspell (Coyotero’s character), a pirate hunter and insanely good sword master of the Spanish Circles. Michel planned that Jaquard should become a master of his own, and then be informed about who de Grammont was, being able to have his revenge Grammont thinks he owed him. During that stay, Jaquard learned by the ship’s cook and dagger expert how to use his hands properly, increase the dexterity, do some magic tricks and also most card games and how to trick in them.
- Years later, Jaquard is age 22-23 now, Michel was killed by Sri Names Singh (not so important who this tiger is), and also Jaquard was told the truth about his former captain, he still sees him as a surrogate father and undertakes the “Fântome”, Michel’s ship. He is now rather undefeatable in direct combat, and a charismatic and cunning/ruthless leader, man to be feared, respected and maybe desired - but not loved.
- Therefore, the disappointed Dwight Blackspell now wants to capture and stop Jaquard, knowing that with the abilities that fox learned from him and others, he is a very serious threat.
- Sri Namesh Singh manages to turn duSang to his side, which is happening through good arguments, sexual contact and a drug called Black Wine.
- Later on, Jaquard boards the “Venom” (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4482524) and burns down half of Port Drake during that occasion. The 26 guns frigate is one of the newest and most modern ships of the Royal Navy – with this prize, Jaquard belongs to the big league of pirates.
End of the current biography; still developing.
Abilities:
Traditional swordmanship with Rapier or Sabre
Two blades sword fighting style (martial arts)
outstanding gunslinger
Has experts for comouflage and disguise in his crew and got some talent for acting
cunning and ruthless
excellent dancer and womanizer
Swashbuckler par excellence
Character:
- Because of his biography, he is a deeply traumatized personality – he got a very low inhibition threshold to hurt people badly, and to kill someone is nothing with bothers him in any way. Yet, he knows what is good and what is wrong, a friend described him rightly: He had got good features, but a dark marrow. Personally, I think he is quite a good Anti-hero.
- No general knowledge except nauticalia and weaponary. No interest in intellectual things either.
- His appearance is very dashing, handsome, with a demonic aura –sexual attractive, yet to fear. Athletic built. Very gifted “below”.
- Turned out to be bisexual, yet he is hardly feminine in any way.
- Got problems when he falls in love with someone – he was mistrusted once, so he is afraid that it might happen again. Actually, he got two “mates”, a boyish wildcat called Leufreuy and Carmen, a black rat (sic!)1790
