So I will admit this is a favorite film of mine, even though it's not a GOOD James Bond film xD Plus, it was one of the earliest DVDs I remember buying with my own money, so there's that too :)

What was noteworthy about this film was that Moneypenny finally got together with James (even if it was only via Q's VR Combat Training Simulator).

I'll give something to one of the later Craig movies, I really liked how they introduced Moneypenny to the series, it was a nice way of explaining their tongue-in-cheek relationship, she is one of the few people who ever shot Bond and got away with it!

There is no frigging way Bond would lose his temper as he was shown apparently doing in one of the fencing scenes. But I admit I don't remember much about this movie otherwise.

Having Bond with emotions is no bad thing though. Look at Craig's films...

You aren't wrong, Casino Royale was excellent but his other movies were underwhelming and partly for the reason you state. However Bond shouldn't lose his temper, at most you should see him struggling to control it. That whole scene just didn't ring true for me.

Not that I'm particularly a Bond fan, one of my flatmates boyfriends was though and kind of made me appreciate him more. He's a fun character as long as you don't take him too seriously.

Yes, that's true, as you say though some people take it too far. I stopped using Twitter years ago, it has not been a boon to humanity.

Funny thing I just remembered: Daniel Craig has openly said how faulted Bond is as a character, calling him a "raving mysoginist" and a caraciture. (spelling?)
Some people take Bond too seriously. Like a certain gremlin in the UK who lost his shit when Craig was carrying his baby son in a pupoose.

Yes he doesn't seem to actually like the character, didn't stop him signing up for multiple movies though. The actress who played the Bond Girl in Casino Royale said something similar...I was like, you seemed happy enough to take the part at the time.

Acting is still a job and it helped their careers. They need to get paid. Robert Pattinson said something similar about Edward Cullen, he thought the character was terribly written.
The issue was that apparently it was "emasculating" and made "bond" unmanly. This person didn't seem to understand that Daniel Craig isn't bond, that's just a character he plays.

Sure, but is at least ungracious and definitely ungrateful. There are plenty of actresses and actors who would give a lot to play those roles. If you, generic you, don't like the part then don't take it. If you need the money then take it but keep quiet about it, but then that's perhaps expecting a little too much class.

Ah OK, yeah just thats kind of dumb alright. And besides what's unmanly or not masculine about a father looking after his children, surely that's the the kind of behaviour we should be encouraging! Probably just someone trying to get a headline.

The guy who said it basically just does that. He's always trying to say controversial things. Only way people will remember he exists. I couldn't agree more, we need more men who break the mould!

Daniel Craig also is constantly up for a laugh, he pretended to be a bratty toddler for Children in Need and was on a Catherine Tate episode being excited about curly straws XD

I'll give the fim credit, begining with Bond as a POW was an interesting angle and showed that not even 007 is always on top of things.
Seeing M get shot in a simulation was oddly prophetic though....

The intro really was well done, agreed.

Even up to the scenes in Cuba I think it works pretty well, if you can get past Bond stopping his own heart :P but then in Iceland it gets nuts.

And we had the Halle Berry scene for which the media lost their collective minds. You know what would be interesting and the way technology is going it might be able to be done, have different Bonds in different Bond movies, eg: Craig's Bond in The Living Daylights, Roger Moore in The World Is Not Enough, Brosnan in For Your Eyes Only etc and I don't mean just replace their features but re-write the entire movies for the different Bond characters.

If someone out there is reading this and decides to actually do it I want a share of the proceeds! ;)

This was the first Bond film I saw from beginning to end. Brosnan was Bond for me when I was younger and ironically his last film was how I was fully introduced to him. Nice work on the piece.
