Mallori Pelc, Pillar 4 Surveyor Selyan

A fellow Surveyor, having been one for much longer than Attibeo. Has a strong sense of belonging with the people Above, and cares not much for those on the Ground. She is teamed up with Attibeo during his Surveyor training. She moved from the Seld years ago to Pillar 4, but still misses home and treasures her Seld heritage. Is quick to anger, but exerts patience when dealing with Attibeo and the things they sometimes clash on. Eventually leaves Pillar 4 and goes to 6, since it's in the Seld.

Mallori, being a Selyan, is large-bodied and quite strong. She's very much a no-nonsense Surveyor, and much more for the Pillars' cause than Attibeo is. However, being responsible for Attibeo's training has made her more aware to the causes that Attibeo cares about, though her opinions remain unswayed. She's not aggressive toward Ground-dwellers, but she's indifferent to their struggle. She's more concerned that the Ground-dwellers get the resources to the Surveyors, despite what they have to deal with.
