Chapter 6 - Flopsy Makes a Friend

The first chapter I wrote after the break, I really enjoyed this one. Flopsy learns that in spite of this being such a huge city compared to what she's used to, it's still a small town and things are connected in ways you wouldn't expect.
I also get to drop a bit of worldbuilding hints, or at least questions. ^_~
The girl from Chapter 4 returns and helps Flopsy feel like she's helpful, like she's doing the right thing. And she gets to make a connection with someone new, even if it's over a misunderstanding. And then she gets to feel like her attempts to help are making things worse...
Poor Flopsy. Maybe soon, things will start making sense, and you'll be able to answer all the questions piling up about who you are, what's going on, what your place is, what path you should take in life...
...Maybe not soon. ^_^;;

I mixed a pair of Tumblr memes that amused me, one was along the lines of "Next time you stumble in public, just say 'It's been too long since I inhabited a body.'" and "My baby is cute, but I wish he'd stop turning his eyes void-black and saying 'This human form is too limiting!'"
Basically, he says it as a joke to "weird out" the "normal people", because he's the kind of geek that's given up on fitting in. He just... really didn't expect the reaction he got. ^.^;;
