This is somewhat of a funny preview of the romantic comic that I will post tomorrow night on Valentines Day. This panel is supposed to be Meri on her way to grab my cheeks in first person, but after sometime has passed after it was done, I realized this panel is perfect for that meme.
I have half of a mind to make this into a somewhat proper version of a meme but it'll be more about some guy who for some reason literally sees anthro characters as animals until they're hit with this meme by the anthro in question and the guy is now forced to confront the true reality that the anthro is a person like him and they couldn't handle it.
This idea comes from some old TV show trope that I've seen in shows like I-Carly and Psych, where one of the characters fell in love with someone's sibling and throughout the episode, they find nothing wrong with it but everyone else does because it's their friend's sibling so it's really awkward. But before the episode ends, the character that was crushing on their friend's sibling suddenly saw that sibling as their friend but is crossdressed as them and then said crushing character finally sees why everyone else sees them pursuing their friend's sibling in a romantic relationship is weird. Now before anyone gets the wrong idea, this isn't about dissuading people from dating their friend's siblings, it is actually more about getting people to understand where that awkwardness even comes from why it feels like they're dating their friend and not someone different.
I feel like this phenomenon actually applies to some people who don't understand Furries, sees the anthro characters as literal animals when in most cases they're clearly not. So those people more or less believes that Furries are under the delusion, but the twist version of this meme here is "No. They're the ones that are delusional and not seeing the anthro characters as the people they truly are." So when they're snapped back into reality, they have to confront the truth that the anthro character is just person like them and not the animal they think they are. And I'm not sure if they can probably handle that truth.
Well, that's the idea that came to mind of this particular panel of Meri about to grab my cheeks in first person. Also, I already know most are probably going to pull the "No, you're the delusional one, because look at your comments" points at me but it doesn't really matter, I just want to give an explanation why I wanted this to be made and why I find this meme to be a little funny and the context behind, and what would be a good way to use it.
