In a dual narrative between Oren and Gristle, the One-Eyed Wolf, the story delves into the past and provides insight into the wolf pack, as well as Oren’s motivations for starting the Hollow. Interesting how when they are on their own, Hemlock and Oren can act a bit like each other.
Hemlock calms down the panicking companion and sends her Prey Team Six away with wounded member, focusing on their safety first rather than hunting predators.
Oren refuses to hide and hope the problem will go away. Instead he opts for fighting the intruders.
While they may disagree, they see the value in each others' approaches to issues.
Hemlock calms down the panicking companion and sends her Prey Team Six away with wounded member, focusing on their safety first rather than hunting predators.

Yeah Oren knew that the bubble would break eventually and he started to prepare for it.
Problem is at the moment that the one meant to protect the Hollow is currently in some sort of mid-life crisis himself about how his life should go from now on.
But with the revelations from the wolf side my guess is that Swift and Red with their pups will have to flee from the interlopers to not be killed and will find refuge in the woods (Red for being severely wounded and not able to hunt and Swift cause the new Pack can't have the old Alpha) where they might parley with Oren and Hemlock (and yes I know Hemlock would spear them rather than even attempt to talk but one can dream of her seeing the boon of having apex predators as alies)
