Katana stuns once when scoring an altfire-swing headshot ona Scrake. However further hits to the head with the katana will not keep the Scrake in that stun animation, even when you hear the headshot-register sound effect.
The Axe however can keep the Scrake in stunlock if you continue scoring altfire-swing headshots, effectively resetting the animation per headshot. Even in HoE difficulty
