The fact these two talked it out, came to an understanding and BOTH apologized...

Is Yannit's yay little, thus implying low volume I presume, that way due to her having understood the rhetorical question and thus enjoyed the joke of it? Or simply her own intention to keep the volume low?
Curious, can Yannit see through that cloth much like the Baxxid can their own adornments? Oh! Also very curious, do the Baxxid have any opinion whatsoever on Yannit's kind or vice versa? Or have they been so far removed from one another they've barely made contact or have any reason to care? Guessing, just off hand, they wouldn't have any capacity to speak to one another without the intermediary of the human language. o.O What with the Baxxid speaking in ultra sonics and the Indrel in scents and hivemind.
Also random funny thought cause that's what happens when sleepy. Picturing a Yinglet with narcolepsy that wears a mushroom hat as a helmet, to avoid being bonked when suddenly slumping over, and insists upon being allowed to 'sleep' with the Baxxid in their sun drinking phase. ^^

Par miscommunication, and part not knowing the particular relationship between the two. He assumed a typical officer-subordinate relationship and based his response on what experience has taught him would be appropriate. Best friends, however, change the dynamic and proper information delivery scheme a lot.
This episode illustrates a lot of what I like about this strip. In an age where almost all entertainment media is extremely cynical and dystopian, many of the characters here are decent. Not to the point of being silly or stupid, or universal but just decent, like the elevator operator and the surgeon. It's refreshing when most media teaches us to expect the absolute worst.
Well I'm glad that they managed to talk this out and come to an understanding. Especially the whole you see why your delivery broke my soul for a second there right? Context is King and without it even I couldn't find anything good about how he made the delivery

It's good to get things sorted out. Glad to see a misunderstanding has been resolved & positive relationship between people restored (at least so I hope heh).

Yo OOPsgang! I'm back again to remind you that there's a place called "Top Web Comics" https://www.topwebcomics.com/?home=3 that compiles comics from various places. There's a bunch of cool stuff there. They have monthly votes, so you can support OOPs there. You can vote once a day per device, so your PC, laptop, tablet, phone, etc.
I've noticed that you can sometimes even get in extra votes from different IP addresses, or if you're disconnected from your IP and open up again later.
OOPs closed out last month at I think 45th place and around 870 votes. It's currently at 685 votes and 46th place. The top vote getters seem to end up with something close to 20,000 votes.
Vote early, vote often! Help OOPs get noticed!

I actually feel like an idiot for not thinking about the context of his delivery because I had a lack of perpsective. It just feels like the common scenario that the person waiting for a "did they make it or not" is going to be someone very emotionally tied to the situation. Hell, I would hope most people would care more of whether they're alive or not, but I would belive that sympathy diminishes the higher up the ranks you go.
Either way, I figured Merrs had a probable explanation, but I think I was really blown away at how much damn sense it makes.
Also that last thing Merrs said is on my mind now. Kass got of bit of that earlier when Nana knocked his noggin. Thankfully, that situation was resolved with no issues, but we've yet to see any staff with any grudges or genuine disdain towards Kass and other yinglets (aside from using the word "scav"), mostly just some common folk like when Vizlet walked into The Teeth.
