QUITE an improvement from the extremely ugly original mock-up the publisher came up with back in the spring. The first iteration of this cover had green background "fur," supposedly in honor of Komos - but it looked more like a close-up of someone's lawn. ("Hey you furries get off my lawn!") I suggested the blue, and I also changed the "INCLUDES HiSTORY" type color from something nondescript into a yellow that pops off the background. I'm really glad they were open to my input.

Notice the leopard 'taur atop the ET in PLANET? She's the work of  Kacey; her character originally appeared on the cover of Bernard Doove's Forest Tales. Bernard and Kacey generously permitted my publisher to include her on the cover to remind/educate non-furs we don't all wear fursuits. Kacey's art also graces the back cover of Furry Nation (for the same reason); if I write another book about Furry*, she'll probably be on that cover too.

* - Highly unlikely at the moment. (Although I am considering conducting and posting interviews with people I wanted to include in Planet but ran out of time.)
