A few moments later...
Pyroar: *slurps* "Mmmm... Purr..."
Puck: "I, uh... Don't know why I was expecting anything less." *pets Pyroar* "Zira, can you hear me?"
Zira: "I can." *pause* "The children are... Petting me..."
Dory: "Does this mean you're our big sister now instead? And that we can keep you?"
Zira: "What, you mean like as a pet? I... I don't know, maybe..." (pause) "Ask your mom."
Dory: "Okay. Zira, can we keep you?"
(long awkward pause)
Zira: "Good answer." *shifts herself to be belly up inside Pyroar and hugs a kid under each forelimb* "And... In fairness this... Isn't unpleasant in here."

Well... In our 'other world', all of that did happen too. Long story short is we salvaged her out of the flood after everybody thought she'd drowned (hence the towels). So Deva and Verity won't ever be bringing Zira with them whenever they visit the Pride Lands. We're going to let them think she *ahem* "attained peace after rejoining the circle" or whatever the hell they call it, and not that she's... (looks off to the side) ...giving a cold death glare at Puck, who keeps poking her nose and going "boop" at her.
